Label Design for Acupuncture Herbs

Label Design

Designing labels is something we do a lot of. Just recently an acupuncturist Terry Tangredi in Hatfield MA asked me to redesign some labels for her products. She had two. Problem Salve and Trauma Liniment. Both were made by her using classical chinese herbs. She also wanted the umbrella company Valley Classics written on the label in english and chinese. She also wanted to print them out using her own printer with Avery labels. When the final labels were complete I laid it out 8 up using the Avery labels templates downloaded from their site. I wanted to show below some one the early designs and the final designed label.

What is acupuncture?

Acupuncture is the insertion of fine needles into specific locations along the body. It is generally painless. Acupuncture is originally from China with historical roots going back 2000 years. Today acupuncture is practiced around the world and has developed many styles of practice to address pain and a variety of health problems. Acupuncture is completely safe, using only disposable, sterilized needles.

I like this design on the label. It combines simplicity with a fun font and design. The most important part of designing a label is getting information across in a catchy way and I think this achieves that goal.
